Each year Tandaza Trust holds a fundraising walk in Nairobi, Kenya. The funds raised support accommodation, rehabilitation and education services for homeless women in Nairobi. In 2015 Wacuka Kamau, the then Director of Tandaza Trust, organised the first Tandaza fundraising walk in Australia. Since then it has become an annual event.
We would love you to join us for all the fun of this year’s walk:
When: Saturday 24 August at 1.00pm.
Where: The walk leaves from our gazebo at Tench Reserve, Penrith, opposite the Coffee Club. We will be easy to spot by our balloons.
What: We follow the path through Tench Reserve along the beautiful Nepean River to the Penrith Weir. It is a 7km walk but if you would prefer to take a shorter walk you are able to return from any distance.
This is a family friendly activity in a lovely location. Bring the children to play in the park, bring the dogs who will love the walk, bring your friends. Perhaps even bring a picnic lunch for before or after the walk. See some of the fun had on previous years below.
Walkers are asked to make a donation towards the work of the Tandaza Trust. Donations may be made on the day by cash or card.
Alternatively donations can be made by Direct Deposit to BSB: 012-098 Account No: 3002-70942 or securely on line here via Paypal:
